the HUG test...

5 Clothing Tricks Every Guy Should Know...

1. The Shoulder Into the Wall Trick
What it Does: Prevents someone from buying a suit jacket or blazer that's too big.
How to do It: Put on the suit jacket blazer or sportcoat. With the outside of your shoulder facing a wall, slowly lean into the wall. If the shoulder pad strikes first then scrunches up before your shoulder gets there, it's too BIG. You want a jacket where your shoulder, and the pad, strike the wall at almost the exact same time. The less pad overhang the better.

2. The HUG Test
What It Does: Keeps your torso comfortable and your seams from bursting.
How to do It: For shirts, suit jackets, blazers, etc...put the garmet on and take a look in the mirror. Now prevented you're going to hug someone. If it feels like you're going to burst a seam and go all hulk-smash, then it's not a good fit. Try a size up, or, a different brand.

3. Curled Fingers for Jacket Length
What It Does: Helps you figure out what jacket length is best for you.
How to do It: With the suit jacket, blazer or sportcoat on, let your arms hang relaxed at your sides. Curl your fingers as if you were about to grab the handles of a wheel barrow. Your jacket tail should come to rest right in that crevice your fingers have made. If it's all bunched up, the jacket's too long. If it's dangling an inch or so short, it's too short.

4. The Fingers for Collar-Size Trick
What It Does: Prevents strangulation.
How to do It: Button the shirt all the way up and stick a finger or two between your neck and collar. There's some debate on this. Some sources claim if you can comfortably fit more than one finger in-between the collar and your neck, it's too big. Others say two fingers but no more. The goal is to have no noticeable gaps when buttoned, all while not suffocating.

5. Armhole/Handshake Test
What It Does: Helps you find a jacket that won't fight you while you're wearing it.
How to do It: Plenty of affordable blazers and suit jackets come with absurdly large armholes. Like, flying squirrel large. The lower the armhole dips down on the jacket, the more likely it is to shift and move, as your arm pulls at the body of the jacket. Stand in front of a mirror with the jacket on. Pretend like you're about to shake someone's hand. If the jacket raises up and bucks like a marionette with its strings being pulled, then you might want to find a brand with higher arm holes.

Hopefully these awesome tips will help you find the perfect suit..and these tricks come in handy.
Enjoy!

Nudie Jeans Co.

Nudie Jeans Co.
Nudie Jeans Co. has been working off the clock for the past several years to bring you a quality fitting pair of jeans that will make your average jeans look sad.
Revamp your closet with a designer pair of bamboo cotton and recycled materials that will last you a long time. Nudie has onsite specialist called a Repair Specialist, that will help you repair and reuse your pair of Nudie Jeans.
Nudie pays attention to intricate detail and the process of how your jeans are made and assures you that when you purchase your pair of jeans, you are getting a quality pair of jeans.

REPAIRING AND REUSING
Even though your jeans are made of tightly woven cotton twill and originally made as a durable garment for workers, they won't last forever.
Jeans are often worn more frequently than other types of pants and consequently they also wear out quicker.
If you wear your jeans low, hanging on the hip, the fabric and the thick seams in the crotch will rub against each other. The friction will eventually break the fabric. This is more common on tighter fits than on loose.
As we are all different we also wear and tear our jeans differently. All pre-washed and pre-treated denims have a shorter lifetime compared to dry denim, as the cotton fibres are softer and thinner after treatments. However, extending the life of your favorite pair is a fairly easy task.
When it comes to repairing your jeans there are a couple of different options. If you live anywhere near one of our Nudie Jeans Stores that offer repairs free of charge we're happy to do it for you.
Another options is to go to your favorite tailor, find a handy friend or do it yourself - a fun and rewarding task.
If you want to do it yourself we can send you a repair kit free of charge. The Nudie Jeans Repair Kit contains thread, patches and a few more things.
Find your perfect pair of jeans today!

Suit UP!

"So you got a job interview. Armed with your resume, taking points, and confidence, you know this economy has no mercy for the unprepared. But if clothes help make the man, what does that make you? Picking out one's first suit is a rite of passage for most all young men, and we're here to help.

Whether you're coming off four years of college of four seasons of Mad Men, chances are, you've seen your share of suits-dapper and dashing, empty and ill-fitting alike."

Solid Navy
For your first suit. Why? "It's business appropriate, flattering on just about any skin tone, works with most shirt and tie combinations, can be styled as separates, and can be worn three days a week without any coworkers taking note."

Single Breasted
Leaves no exceptions.
A longer jacket makes you look slimmer, a shorter jacket makes you look taller. In any case, like a good lawyer, a jacket should cover your ass."

The Cut
Even if it fits like a glove off the rack, have an expert tailor take a look at it.

The jacket should hug the shoulders without any pulling across the back.

Vents
"Double over single, because it can be cut slimmer in the hips and you don't have to sit on your jacket tail."

Within Arm's Reach
Have the sleeve length tailored to show 1/2" of shirt cuff.

I hope this helps any guys out there with a job interview, or to maybe just to freshen up your suit wardrobe. It is important to looking fresh men!

Enjoy!

That way you can be apart of this new bandwagon and know how to communicate to all those fashion gurus out there.

You can also follow them on Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram.

A pair of fun socks will make your new pair of boots not only "fashionable" but make getting dressed more fun, and make it your own personal style.
Make clothes fun, something you can enjoy rather than a pain in the ass and something you absolutely dread doing.

Shoes are the fashion statement of your outfit, and we all know first impressions are everything, you can't take back a first impression. Think about it.
